Greetings All, Before I altogether neglect this thought, give yourself a few moments of deep breathing and gratefulness for being alive to breathe! Many of our global sisters’ and brothers’ lives upon Mother Earth are unpleasant, so, if you’re reading this ezine luxuriating in comforts of home or hotel, give a thought of how lucky you are, and that your sensibilities are free to flow fascination!
As close as today is to USA’s July 4th celebration day, I thought it appropriate to add points of reference that have become important since I began staying awake on September 11, 2001. My thoughts are saturated with cosmology, but especially satiated with our global brothers’ dominations born in millennia-old ideas that create subjugations between and within both genders. More trainings are happening all around us, and we must train ourselves to stay awake to the ancient quests the men who rule by fear are marching again these days. Their pathway of moralism and religiosity control all media forms, as survivors remember propaganda of WORLD WAR TWO. An old and endless discipline is staying awake to the spoken word, the persuasive insinuations of lackadaisical journalists and reporters who robotically repeat the ‘tongue in cheek’ charade their masculinized editors and programmers tell them to create for our imaginations, for their ratings, and for their paychecks. Likely some of you are ahead of me on this: I’m tiring of commentators’ blithe, redundant, calamitous insinuations on climate change. Wouldn’t it be great if more journalists cross-trained in the sciences? Naturally CivicWe USA citizens may presume our liberty was an absolute before 9/11, and I’ve thought twice about that presumption. Have you perused definitions of civics and democracy? There’s nothing as naturally civic as knowing what civics or independence or democracy mean, although the word democracy, which originated in Athenian thought, is vilified in The Federalist Papers of the USA. Here’s a paragraph about civics from Wikipedia as of July 4, 2007.
Here’s part of THE UNITED STATES DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE originally entitled, The unanimous DECLARATION of the thirteen united STATES OF AMERICA, most of which was penned by Thomas Jefferson.
Charade of DemocracyWe dear readers no longer have a life of safety and happiness in our naturally uncivic mindedness. We’ve lived lives asleep with our privilege, credit cards, debt and rubber-stamped guilt way too long without keeping ourselves educated and awake to governments’ corporations’ charade of democracy. Regard for national security and happiness comes out of world wide initiatives by cartels that, through omnipresent marketing and advertising, would want us presuming our best interests are theirs.
With initiatives excluding citizens’ participation, one wonders whether paid lobbyists’ or environmentalists’ campaigns are setting corporate agenda, or enviros have bought into endorsing corporate doublespeak. Nonetheless, via media, religious governments and corporations attempt to thwart citizenries’ imaginations by fear associations—boils on the butt of humanity. Now that Internet provides information to which no other generation has likely been privy, the convoluted rule by fear instead of democracy is not lost to many Earthlings. Human beings are observing miseries of masculine combatives in evangelism and religious fundamentalism; masculine bankers’ whimsical control of interest rates; taxation without proper representation of females; egregious plummets of natural resources perpetuated by male dominations; horrendous world wide sex trafficking paid for by small and secret male corporations with no sign of stopping. Many citizenries, apparently none within our united STATES OF AMERICA, are crying out, ‘We’re fed up!’ When it comes to being naturally civic, paying attention to the charade of democracy, it’s no secret developed countries’ educational systems have been lead astray. Believe AnythingSheeple can too easily go astray, and we will choose to believe just about anything when fearful enough. Not unlike previous generations, what begins as scientific ideas becomes sleekly consumerized and politicized, if not embedded in fear-laden religious practice. Many USA religionists aren’t yet distinguishing guilt-laden stories, demanding being born again, from guilt-laden global warming stories, demanding you’re with us or against us. It’s entirely likely Western Europeans and Asians are just laughing until it hurts at the naïveté of the youngest nation in the neighborhood. The debate about global warming or climate change is just heating up. Media—radio, television, film, print—control citizenries’ ‘believe anything’ convictions so that this author quietly seethes disappointment and annoyance felt by a growing number of scientists, who are doing the best they can to expose politico global-warming doublespeak. What is doublespeak? Simply put, it’s euphemisms: unspecific, shorthand phrases meant to temporarily distract and conceal something very likely unethical; frequently, doublespeak buys more time for corporate brotherhoods to maximize their bottom lines. Some environmental doublespeak phrases heard in media are: fight, solve, stop climate change; update laws; clarify regulatory language; streamline regulations; improve the way we protect environments; eliminate red tape, all of which are difficult to argue. After digging deeper, however, we discover corporate environmental profiteering brotherhoods actually started the doublespeak in the first place! Training one’s self to listen critically, and to educate one’s self to ask questions about doublespeak is still too much to ask. Many taxpayers and too many young people will believe anything popular, while equating education and critical thinking to a disdain for achievement, and pessimistic thinking. Sunny EuphemismThe term climate change is very popular, but climate change has become a sunny—everything will be fine if we buy the right stuff—euphemism for the term climate cycles. If the term climate cycles was explained by media as much as the term climate change, Earthlings may get the accurate impression that pockets of temporary climate changes could be as unpleasant as grand sweeping climate cycles are unavoidable and unpleasant over millenniums. ¹ We Earthlings have yet to train ourselves to remember nature, and our life as a species in nature, are cyclic over millenniums. Rather, from global warming marketing campaigns, many people think global warming started two years ago. And, if climates aren’t as we wish them to be, then we can pray, meditate, contemplate, ponder, make up another sunny euphemism, pray again, experiment, talk, and prayerfully legislate to get changing climates fixed, as we deem fit. The idea that humans are too much at blame and hence are able to avoid climate cycles is preposterous, but applauded by the cabal of patriarchical ecclesiastical demagogues and corporate polluters—many invisible men represented by one sunny euphemism after another spoken by sniveling witlings documented by media week after week. ² All theocratic bullying and irresponsible consumerism tolerated by Earthlings will not stop natural climate cycles. We can also begin our civic duty and pronounce healthy disrespects for ideologies concealed by sunny euphemisms, that are inflicted and immortalized in media by unethical environmental politicians and pious demagogues, who deliberately shriek doublespeak while keeping their fingers crossed behind their backs.
