| Hello Everyone,
Happy New Year!
Perhaps, you are reading this after returning
home from your holiday travels. I am hoping all went well with you
and your families and friends!
Who would have thought the energy changes, showing
up around the planet, would have manifested in the amount of prose
and poetry pouring out of me. Yes, truly, who would've imagined
– not even long-time friends. The pieces are piling up in
the Archive here.
Story telling is invaluable. Remembering why we
chose to do something can unfold relished memories, and those memories
may bring up the passionate feelings that stimulated our choices.
Before we begin summaries in the next ezine, I thought it a good
thing to retell the story that prompted the first edition of Staying
Awake last January. Here it is…

The Why for Staying Awake
In June, 2003, it came to mind that my Dad passed
away nearly four years ago. Sitting here quietly researching at
my computer, I looked up to the wall where his photo hangs, and
asked (with a bit of tongue in cheek), 'If you're around, let me
know in a way I don't have to guess it's you.' That inquiry alone
was enough to surprise me!
Maybe minutes later, I received what at first I
thought was a spam email. It seems a business man, Derek, had had
a visit from a spammer who went to his web site to add who knows
how many email addresses, like mine, without permission. Derek expressed
his apologies about the incident in his email.
Needless to say, I was curious about Derek's business,
and went to surf his site titled Smile At You. When I read
that web address, my jaw dropped... Once at Derek's site, I saw
he was an artist, an excellent wood carver. Golly, my dad was a
wood carver, too! If I hadn't been awake, I would've missed that
almost instantaneous sign in answer to my inquiry.
Our constant curiosity is key
to watching what's being created. ~ DM |
