being aware of our intentions, sensibilities and curiosities while attending our experiences at hand
Greetings to All Subscribers,

Here’s hoping this newsletter finds each of you doing well, and your businesses and personal lives thriving! Let’s all be thankful for one another’s prosperity.

We live in a world in which your stories and my stories interconnect so elegantly, there is no question what affects one of us affects all of us. The religious and political and weather conditions alone are enough to boggle the mind as we settle back to quietly consider the turns of events in far away places.

Staying Awake will be around lest we take for granted our emotional responses, those bodily responses to current events as well as to our creative mental and physical demands made during every moment of work and play.

Before we continue, please note Staying Awake ezines will be mailed on alternating Sundays beginning September 11, 2005. When I chose to change broadcast days from alternating Tuesdays to Sundays, little did I know 9/11 was the date of the next appropriate Sunday for weekend mailings to begin.

9/11 dramatically deepened my curiosity about life, and this ezine will continue to reflect or rather turn up the volume on the energy changes that I believe are altering humans’ experiences and awareness.

Okay, let’s move on to thoughts with a lighter tune!

Sensations Sweep

Some of you are writers who have loved studying and creating with words much longer than I, while other Staying Awake readers probably suffer through a writing project like tolerating a bad cold. Been there, done that!

Whatever levels of writing we experience, writing can help us see our senses in different ways, and clarify our deepest thoughts and experiences as we wish to remember them.

Creatively writing about nudges we have become accustomed to sensing can be fascinating, and, with tendencies to be swept into ecstasy, we can assume those nudges are innate passions that actually direct our choices and actions. Well, that is, whenever we allow them to direct us.

When I was young, I didn’t even know the word passion, but curiosity and respect for unseen energy around me occurred naturally when I practiced piano and performed recitals as a kid. That energy was as plain as day: I could not not feel it, and I remembered energetic effects as I went back to practice the same pieces, day after day. I was born with a penchant for sensing and physically responding to energy that was immediately handy - energies became my passion: I was and still am swept into profound fascination by them.

We can know our passions by the trails they have left in our lives. You may quote me.

Like writers, performers who train long periods of time in the performing arts notice and depend on conspicuous forms of dynamic sweeps of energy – that creative energy cannot be forgotten, and, as funny as it sounds, artistic energies won’t let themselves be forgotten.

Creative sensations ooze this way and that through the works of writers’ and the live performers’ pieces. Universal energy makes known the unseeable grandeur not only for Earthlings’ entertainment and joy, but for the sheer sweeping ecstasy of observing itself through the eyes and minds of Earthlings!

Sense Relaxation

We can and probably have already trained ourselves to sense what suits us, and have neglected the very same energies’ guidances that seem unimportant. Can we change our intentions to suit us, or are we actually experiencing intentions’ choices to show up on our behalf? Interesting question, eh? But, I digress…

Because energy abounds around me, it appears I need to relax more than anything else. As I listened repeatedly to a recent lecture about the invisible and enthusiastic preoccupation the physical heart has with the brain, I spontaneously began intentionally tuning in to my heart only to notice it – that’s all - just to notice it.

Then, as if in automatic mode, I began experiencing nudges to focus on my heart, and I didn’t ask any questions which I am apt to do; instead, I continued puttering around the office and in the kitchen.

Every time I sense my physical heart, an instant, relaxing rise in my chest occurs; my back straightens, and the relaxation is felt around my back. How cool, really! The message couldn’t be plainer: Relax, and feel free to take a deep breath. I believe those experiences are reminders of our protective, vibrating cocoons’ hovering nudges around and inside our physical bodies.

Here are some questions meant to stimulate your curiosity, and I’d love to hear feedback about your experiences.

  • Other than exercise or taking time to get quiet within yourself, what ways do you instantly relax your body?
  • What has been your sensory experience while juggling loath with compassion?
  • Would you sense your physical heart for 15 minutes a day while participating in your business; while driving around doing errands, conversing with family and friends; listening to news casts, reading, shopping; or while doing stuff you would rather not do?

Okay, I’ve just appointed myself to an awareness training program of focusing on my physical heart as frequently and as long as possible during my daily work and conversations. I’ll let you know about the experiences as I move along in this exploration.

I intend ecstatic comfort.
