I think with
intuition. The basis of true thinking is intuition. Indeed,
it is not intellect, but intuition which advances humanity.
Intuition tells a man his purpose in life. One never goes
wrong following his feelings. I don’t mean emotions,
I mean feelings, for feelings and intuition are one.
~ Albert Einstein
This ezine exalts feminine perception
while alerting most men to the same; as both genders merge
passions of life, their complementary energies hail awesome
acclaim.

human intention. ~ DM

In a recent Prairie Home Companion production starring Garrison Keillor, a guest opera singer, Jennifer Rivera, sang an aria. At the exact moment the audience began to applaud her singing, my computer rang its hourly bells. I laughed out loud, thinking what were chances of synchronizing applause from the radio with the prearranged bells. Another “Surprise!”
Are we able to be surprised? I hope you've said yes, because a whole range of surprises will likely be, oh, let’s say, stunning for the rest of our lives. ~ DM
Every single cell of anything is doing the best it can; so are false prophets and politicians who belong only in comic books. ~ DM
You do ill if you praise, but worse if you censure, what you do not understand. ~ Leonardo da Vinci;

excerpt from a January 25, 2005, interview with journalist Amy Goodman ...The word democracy was hated by the founding fathers. It does not appear at any point in the constitution, nor does it appear in any pleasant sense in the Federalist Papers. So, we are not a democracy, and ... we are exporting it as though it were just something — well, we just happened to make a lot of democracy, and cotton and tin and stuff like that… ~ Gore Vidal
If you work at that which is before you, following right reason seriously, vigorously, calmly, without allowing anything else to distract you, but keeping your divine part pure, as if you might be bound to give it back immediately; if you hold to this, expecting nothing, fearing nothing, but satisfied with your present activity according to nature… you will be happy. And there is no man who is able to prevent this.
~ Marcus Aurelius, Roman emperor;

Hello Everyone,
These are fantastic times, and I mean fantastic in the purist
sense. Funny thing, this author has to reread this ezine’s
tag line nowadays to stay on purpose while penning Staying
Awake. Obviously, I can get as emotionally distracted as
any of you fine readers.
“What is the tag line?” you ask. ‘...Being
aware of our intentions, sensibilities and curiosities while attending
our experiences at hand.’
Speaking of experiences at hand, allow me to pull you into another
world; a world that is amazing some of us. As you read, go inward
to notice your feelings, and be grateful you are capable of acknowledging
nudges and glances of insight within your physical body.
“Surprise!” Moment
I am drafting this ezine right after watching the first two hours
of National Geographic’s documentary Strange
Days on Planet Earth. My surprise was felt when I turned
on the television one minute before that program televised. Well,
I nearly dropped the remote. I was not even aware of the documentary,
and the tube had not been on for days. “Surprise!”
Are you bahleeeeving that? My intent to gobble up as much information
about Earthlings’ partnerships with nature is one of my
primary fascinations. That intention has everything to do with
turning on the television at just the right moment.
The Joke Is on Us
Humongous, exquisite processes have been going on behind our
backs, or, rather, under our feet and over our heads as you will
see in a moment. We Earthlings are not only a single, collective
participant in embedded processes discovered in nature, we are
extraordinarily observant of ourselves inside of the processes.
Once we awaken our links to nature, and gawk at how nature affects
our enterprises, we can no longer snooze. The joke is on us unless
we awaken and pursue our interconnectedness, and calmly stay awake
during our uncharted world cruise this decade.
In the next section are elements in Earth’s unending transition
about which I had not even a clue; to tell you the truth, I have
become extremely curious if not down right thoughtfully excited.
Earthly Business
What has my curiosity about Earth’s natural happenings
got to do with business? A better question might be, ‘What
has business not got to do with Earth’s natural happenings?’
The National Geographic documentary shows, with very
little scripted sensationalism, how an interloper, for example,
a certain type of termite has purportedly traveled unticketed
continent to continent on board humans’ ships and airplanes.
Consequently, those interlopers have been attending their business
for decades by munching in woods underneath and inside homes and
buildings in the southern United States. Some of those structures
are falling; landslides are likely to occur after sponge-like
underground structures collapse from the gnawing appetites of
innocent wee critters.
Most termite colonies are family oriented, helpful, groom each
other, and sophisticated in their communications with one another
– even termites can be endearing.
Would you believe plants spar with each other for resources and
space? Plants are conscious. I have believed that for years, but
little did I know as a kiddo that the ivy mom kept on the coffee
table had actually schemed to take over the house.
Plants, migrated into labs of research scientists, have found
ways to nose around, forage, and multiply in common water ways
of their new homes in foreign lands. Those overly grown, undaunted
green leafies interrupt the flow of water through channels native
residents had engineered for irrigating crops.
Dust travels intercontinentally. Vast, circular weather systems
rotating above Earth, gather dusts containing elements compromising
the health of the destinations’ residents. We could be breathing
last year’s air born skin cells from who knows where - oooo,
that's a scuzzy notion.
Do you see how Mother Nature has been continually using humans’
attributes, just as we are, distracted by tethers to illusions
and technology, as a collective alliance for an inconceivable,
magnificent evolutionary purpose? You might think natural processes
have happened all along, and assume such attention to detail unnecessary.
I would agree, but Earthlings have not had such a dazzling opportunity
to observe these elegant processes on a grand scale with as many
peoples or economies in the balance.
What are we citizens, entrepreneurs, professionals, and business
owners supposed to do before something disrupts the sustainability
of technological and financial shrines? At this moment, continue
doing and planning, and stay awake to the idea that choices, focuses,
and resulting behaviors are only one part of an ongoing, unimaginably
exquisite universal design, including other earthly businesses
of interloping insects and plants.
We Are in Training, Again.
Our awareness training does not rest, so take your vitamins,
eat and sleep well, and share and teach your expertise within
circles of friends and colleagues you have chosen to surround
you. Open your workbook to page one of stimulating ideas.
-
Reconsider ideas espousing humans are the
only creatures that matter
-
Imagine a flattened playing field where humans
are merely one player in Earth’s interconnected changes
- there are other players of equal endurance from the animal
and plant kingdoms.
-
Consider seeming ineffectual governings in
one nation affect its global sisters and brothers
-
Consider bank accounts as illusory things
-
Consider international bankers (plutocrats,
et al) are not the final authority, instead, our sun rules.
-
Consider our solar system is presently moving
through energies the results from which Earthlings are beginning
to witness; our animals have been feeling and responding all
along
-
Imagine living without electricity
-
Consider natural changes will quicken through
this decade but without even distribution; that is, one change
does not happen to everyone, everywhere, neither simultaneously
nor overnight.
-
Remain within groups you have grown to trust
-
Read material you would not normally read
-
Rely on alternative, credible weather sources
-
Listen to your physical presence, heeding
quiet insights and nudges
-
Imagine energies expanding intuitive capabilties
into unlanguageable realms of empathy.
-
Become intentionally grateful and deeply familiar
with capabilities you cannot help but perform well
-
Intentionally upgrade your communication
skills
-
Fearlessly let the world around you know your
abilities, concerns, and needs; our collective well being
and unburdened memes is this ezine’s prime manifesto.
Let's stay attentive to and sense a responsibility for our collective
creations as we remember intentions are all any Earthling creates
out of. Let us create being in a state of staying awake.
