If You Don’t Succeed, Try Again

Our intuitive capabilities repeatedly pick up the “Surprise!” synchronicities
our busy lives and our businesses tend to block. Humans’ tendencies for
curiosity, growing, and succeeding in the physical world come out of mother
nature’s tendencies to succeed in getting our full attention. Here’s
a grand example demonstrated in a simple household task. Humorously, I got the
message, If you don’t succeed, try again.
Just a moment ago, I changed the sheets and pillow cases on my bed. Cruising
along to get the task done in record time, I began by unfurling the first sheet
so high into the air that the ceiling fan, slowly rotating its blades above
my bed, swiped my knuckles. No harm done, but I was a little disgruntled after
hitting a blade with my knuckles a second time while I hurriedly waved the sheet
in the air.
A moment before I unfurled another sheet, I faintly detected a nudge to notice
the fan. Did I pay attention to the warning? Uh, no… a fan blade bounced
off my hand a third time. Lordie! What was I doing?! As a pianist, I’ve
protected my hands all of my life. I was NOT amused!
I immediately began criticizing the bad hair day, which had obviously distracted
me from heeding my body’s alert. Then, as if a road sign slammed right
in front of me: the signal word was HALT. I ended my chides, and immediately,
a whelming “Surprise!” instant of gratitude came over me –
Wow! I suddenly ‘got’ the message, and gratitude quickly translated
into elation!
It’s entirely possible I asked for, intended, was committed to having
an unusual message to write in this ezine. I got it! And, here it is.
The experience of being thrice struck demonstrated that I was on an intimate
intuitive journey. Unbeknownst to me at the time, I was physically in tandem
with my intuitive nature to get my full attention: The fan blades couldn’t
hit my hand if I hadn’t repeatedly put my hand in their path. There’s
more…
It is not about results: it’s about the journey. If the primary goals
of businesses or enterprises are based on specific, measurable results as numbers
of clients or newsletter subscribers; the budget, or annual income produced;
then, perhaps owners are missing the benefits of praising the intuitive journey
that repeatedly helped build what they wanted in the first place.
The nature of the intuitive and its energies, which thrive around and inside
every one of us, will succeed—just like it, so are we!
Our constant curiosity
is key
to watching what’s being created.
